2024 FALL PORTRAITS for MILLDAM
— Book family portraits with Cole and Kiera to help raise funds for Milldam Nursery School in Concord, MA —
Hello, Friends!
We are excited to get a chance to work with the Milldam community again this year doing what we do as husband and wife photographer. (Our 7 year old girl is a Milldam grad and our almost 3 year old boy will be in the 2/3 class this fall, so the Milldam love is strong within our family!) We look forward to being able to create beautiful portraits of your families and for us all to help raise funds for Milldam Nursery School.
We are offering both mini and full session options so please read more below to determine which option works best for you! To reserve your family portrait session, please sign up for a date & time using the links below. Of course, please feel free to email us directly if you have any questions whatsoever.

FULL SESSIONS
Alternatively, we welcome you to schedule a custom, full family portrait session with us at a unique date and time. The Full Sessions for Milldam Fundraising are available September through November, Weekdays only.
Full Family Portrait Sessions are 45 to 60 minutes in length. These longer sessions enable us to deliver a variety of posed and candid photography, changes of scenery, as well as a mix of group and individual portraits. The extended time with us also helps kids (and parents alike) get more comfortable with us and the camera! Those that have worked with us in the past know that we aim to create a little fun and movement in between posing to include an element of organic and relaxed portraiture.

FAQ
What about the weather?
A couple of days before your portrait session, we will check in with you to confirm the details. If the weather forecast looks like we will get rained out, we will reach out to you to discuss rescheduling.
What time of day works best for photos?
The easiest time for lighting is almost always in the early morning or late afternoon/early evening. Because the sun is low, the light is softer and more flattering. We definitely realize that's not always possible for the little ones though, so we can be flexible. Also, if the weather is cloudy/overcast, mid-day lighting is much less of an issue. It's most important that everyone is comfortable and happy, and we can work with the light!
What should we wear?
We know you will be doing your part to have yourself and everyone put together and perhaps you want to plan a fully or semi coordinated wardrobe (or just...clean), and we know that can be a big task! We are happy to help guide you if you have specific questions, but we tend to think that whatever feels natural for you and your family is best. (When in doubt, layers, textures and neutral or muted colors generally always photograph well, but truly, there are no real rules!) We should also note that depending on how the weather turns out and the location we decide on, dressing appropriately for the conditions makes sense for the pictures as well. It is important so that you all feel comfortable and have a fun afternoon as a family, and we'll handle the rest!
