The night before this Central Park engagement session, we had traveled from Massachusetts to New York City to attend a friend's engagement party. Amazingly enough, we were able to stay in The City overnight because my awesome friend let us stay in her mom's weekday studio [thanks Katharine!]. We were able to wake up bright and early and meet Marissa and James at Bethesda Terrace, which is such a unique and beautiful setting. Rising early was well worth the effort to avoid the crowds and the morning light was gorgeous.
Considering it was their first time having their portraits taken, Marissa and James were complete naturals in front of the camera. They made each other totally at ease and you can just tell they both found their perfect person. There is nothing better than being totally in love with your best friend. I imagine. ; )
We loved getting to photograph these two -- they are adorable together and we are so glad that they chose us to photograph their wedding next fall in Long Island. Thank you Marissa and James for braving the early morning with us and we can't wait for your wedding day!
