It's official now. Long Island is our home away from home. As you may know, Kiera was born and raised in Long Island, and because her parents still live there we visit often. We have also had the good fortune of shooting a couple weddings on Long Island, but this one takes the [wedding] cake. We (Jim and Kiera and Cole) all flew out to shoot this - our first New Years Eve wedding, and we think we could get used to it.

Even though hurricane Sandy tragically displaced them from their family home on Breezy Point, Caitlin and Kevin (and their awesome parents) rolled with the punches to throw undoubtedly the most epic wedding we've ever attended.

Kiera eloquently set the scene in her photo booth post, but to summarize again: the details were fantastic, the locations (Saint Agnes Cathedral and the Bourne Mansion) were monumental, and the people knew how to party. Once DJ Teddy (possibly the best we've ever seen in action) got them on the dance floor they never left. We had a blast with them at the New Year's themed photo booth, and shot all the way through the stroke of midnight.
